Hosea 13:9-11 King James Version (KJV)
9 O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.
10 I will be thy king: where is any other that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?
11 I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.
Hosea 13:9-11 New Living Translation (NLT)
9 “You are about to be destroyed, O Israel—
yes, by me, your only helper.
10 Now where is your king?
Let him save you!
Where are all the leaders of the land,
the king and the officials you demanded of me?
11 In my anger I gave you kings,
and in my fury I took them away.

9 Israel would be torn to pieces, only the remnant would survive. This remnant would be those who had true faith in the Lord. The nation of Israel had turned so far away from God that they stopped being His people, He needed to let some of them face the results of their sins so that the remnant could keep being His people.
10 The king would fall, the king couldn’t save them. God still planned to have the King later come that we are all saved by Jesus our King forever. The leaders they had were cowards and followed their desires and never seeked God.
11 The kings and rulers would be the first ones taken into captivity, they wouldn’t make it out.
