1 The word of the Lord that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
Hosea father Beeri was said to say a few words of prophecy which they say is Is 8:19-20 but this is just tradition and now where in the bible does it support this. The names help indicate the time have proclaimed God’s word. Hosea is the first one listed in the book of the twelve Minor Prophets. | |
