Hosea 1:6-7

Hosea 1:6-7King James Version (KJV)
6 And she conceived again, and bares a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.7 But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.

6 Gomer •became pregnant [conceived] again and gave birth to a daughter. The LORD said to Hosea, “Name her Lo-Ruhamah [C Hebrew: “no pity/mercy” or “not loved”], because I will not •pity [have mercy on; show love to] Israel anymore, nor will I forgive them. 7 But I will show •pity [mercy; love] to the people of Judah. I will save them, but not by using bows or swords, horses or horsemen, or •weapons of war [or battle; war]. I, the LORD their God, will save them.”

6 This time it does not mention the child being his just mentions his wife had a daughter perhaps the father is unknown to him but he had a right to name it being that it was his wife child. This is symbolic of Israel and God showing that they have bore things out of unholy relations but they are still God’s people, it shows grace and mercy, the time for their mercy had come to an end. The mercy we can receive ends when we die either we receive His grace and mercy or reject it the limit is our death.

7 Judah still had hope and still showed promise of those that followed after God captivity brought Judah closer to God but Israel lost their faith completely after their exile. Israel had to go thru captivity and some very hard times but many souls were saved by them.
