Hosea 7:12-13

Hosea 7:12-13 King James Version (KJV)
12 When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard.
13 Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.

12 When they go, I will •catch them in a net [throw my net over them],
I will bring them down like birds from the sky;
I will •punish [discipline] them •countless times for their evil [or when I hear them flocking together; or according to the report given to the congregation].
13 •How terrible for [L Woe to] them because they •left [fled/strayed from] me!
They will be destroyed, because they •turned [rebelled] against me.
I want to •save [redeem] them,
but they have spoken lies against me.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

12 God was going to capture them this would be done when He allowed the exile to happen. God was going punish them for their own good, it would bring them back to Him. God disciplines those that are His. We may have to answer for what we do even though He is forgiving, it helps our relationship with Him grow and we become closer to Him.

13 There were also those that would not reach the exile or even survive the exile those did make the exile most likely would have been those that would have stopped the revival that would happen, they would stay up against Babylon to serve the Lord. Those did not make it thru the exile often times were because they were older or because they would not turn back to the Lord. The Lord gives us all a chance but their will be a time we are taken the question we have to ask ourselves is where will He be taking us. As Christians we go to glory.
