Pro-Life Men Reject BroChoice “More Abortions for More Sex” Argument

Pro-abortion men, aided by top pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood and NARAL, are pushing the BroChoice notion that abortion should remain legal so they can have as much consequence-free sex as they’d like.

But life men are fighting back and rejecting the notion that all men are driven by an insatiable lust for guilt-free sex based on pressuring their partners to have abortions should they become pregnant.

“Often, abortion advocates silence men from speaking out against abortion, arguing that they cannot have a say in an abortion, because it’s not “their body.” Recently, we have heard much talk about the #BroChoice movement, which sadly consists of men pushing for abortion,” says Anna Maria Hoffman.

Countering all of that, 28 young men from across America participated in our pro-life young men’s video project, answering two questions: “Why are you pro-life?” and “Why should men be pro-life?”

Hoffman, of the Family Research Council, which is promoting a new video of the pro-life men standing up for values and women, added: “Clearly, these young men have an important message for America: men also matter when it comes to abortion, and that the unborn child in the womb is their child too. We hope this video inspires more young men to proudly speak out for life and tell the mainstream media and abortion advocates that they will be silenced no more.”

Below is the transcript of our video:

[INTRO]: Why are you pro-life?

JOE: I’m pro-life, because if it were up to Nancy Pelosi, anyone under the age of 40 would not be here, because abortion is “sacred ground.”

JEROME: I’m pro-life, because I believe that without life, there can be no liberty or pursuit of happiness.

HUGH: I’m pro-life, because we have a duty to protect the lives of those who can’t speak for themselves.

IAN: I’m pro-life, because I believe every baby should have the chance to live.

GABRIEL: Why am I pro-life? Because I’m a Christian, and in the Bible, God makes it very clear when it’s okay for us to take innocent life, namely never.

DEMETRIUS: I’m pro-life, because before I was formed in my mother’s womb, God had a plan for me, and I want to fulfill that plan.

SPENCER: I’m pro-life, because I don’t think human life should be valued on a sliding scale, and I don’t think our worth as people is determined by how developed we are or how dependent we are.

KEITH: I’m pro-life, because I hate the idea that murder is okay so long as the victim is small and weak enough. This is an idea that should have left American law with the end of slavery.

JUSTINO: I’m pro-life, because the concept of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness not only pertains to those outside the womb but also those inside as well.

MICHAEL: I’m pro-life, because faith informs me that all human life is sacred and because reason informs me that human life begins at the moment of conception.

ALEX: I’m pro-life, because I believe that the most vulnerable of us all deserve protection, and I see that without life, we have no liberty.

JEFF: I’m pro-life, because I believe it is my duty to give a voice to those that have no voice and a defense of those that cannot defend themselves, and that begins with the unborn.

RYAN: I’m pro-life, because life is sacred and shouldn’t be given worth based upon size or age.

JOHN: I’m pro-life, because I believe that every human life should have the chance to live and experience all that life has to offer.

JOSEPH: I’m pro-life, because no legitimate moral system places a higher value on a woman’s so-called “right to choose” over that child’s right to life.

[TRANSITION]: Why should men be pro-life?

RYAN: Men should be pro-life, because it’s not a gender issue. It’s about preserving the sanctity of life.

SPENCER: Other men should be pro-life, because we love the ladies, and we need to encourage them to protect life.

MICKEY: Men should really get involved in the pro-life movement, because a lot of women need men to really step up in their lives. The life issue really affects men just as much as women.

SPENCER: Men are supposed to honor and be considerate of the women in their lives, and if this takes place, they cannot let a woman go through with the emotional and physical harm that comes with abortion.

OSEI: Men should be pro-life, because abortion isn’t just a woman’s issue, nor a men’s issue. It’s a children’s issue.

DAN: I think it’s easy for society to relegate abortion as a so-called “women’s issue,” but I think that as men, we are called to be the leaders of our family and that starts the moment that our children are conceived.

MATTHEW: Men should be pro-life, because it’s just as much of the father’s child as it is the mother’s, and we should have a say as to whether or not our child has to die too.

AARON: I think it’s important that men are pro-life in the sense that I believe that everybody should have the opportunity to live and be free in a society that promotes freedom and individualism.

DAVID: I believe all men should be pro-life. That is because real men everywhere should protect those who cannot protect themselves.

ADAM: All men should be pro-life, because we care about the harm abortion does to women, and we know it’s always wrong to kill an innocent human life.

CHRISTIAN: If we accept that we must be silent on the issues of life, we’ve silenced half of the voices that could stand for life. Saving lives is not limited by gender.

FORREST: Men are supposed to protect women and children, and that starts by first protecting the unborn, who are most innocent and defenseless.

ANDREW: As men, we should stand for life, because the choices of women affect the fates of us all, and we were all born.
