8 Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.
9 Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.

8 She had a son right after another this showed that she might have went back to her old ways, often having children changes peoples ways it did for Enoch but she had changed nothing, after having a son that was not her husbands you think she who have changed her ways at least so she did not get caught in her sins, this did not happen. This symbolizes Israel how they stay in idolatry even though God knew what they were doing and her telling them through His prophets that they needed to turn back to Him and get rid of their idols.

9 Hosea naming the son again shows that even though it may not be his, he was coming to take care of him. The Lord gave him the name but Hosea was the one to give the name, he had every right if it was not his son to send the boy and his wife away for adultery, God had every right to leave Israel in their ways for their idolatry. God wanted to be Israel’s God but they had rejected Him for many gods that were made from things He had made or blessings He had given them.
