6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

6 Young men are often vulnerable and have not learned how to over come temptations. Men of older age inside the faith have had temptation but have been able to overcome them more than when they were younger in the faith. Young people need guidance and it is good for us to have older Christian influences and people we can talk to. The people I can to with by struggles I consider my closest of friends, they vary from age but all but one is older than me. Paul influenced Timothy and had much to do with his growth in the Spirit. We as younger people should look to those of Godly counsel. Those who are older should live in a way that makes them the person younger men can go to, to seek Godly counsel. We as young people need to be ready for our opportunity, to learn to serve. We need to seek Jesus and not the things of this world.

Yes i agree , this world is in need f Godly men as distinguished apart from "worldly men"
Our young men and boys have few principalled men to model their behaviour off .
Many broken homes and women raising boys , as single mothers , boys get 'unusal' ideas of women , and not very much direction of what their place in the world is . The world is full of snares , and i see the need in our young , to know what it means to be a man of character , under guidance of the holy spirit , walking tall , yet humbly submitting to the authority of God , and being leaders .
All too often , women are left to give their sons direction , and that can be difficult after perhaps a broken marriage has shaped her views on trust etc , and that is received as a flaw in the son , reflecting the fathers persona .
But it is damage , and it doesnt heal itself , it gets buried and resurfaces as rebellion , not just of the family or mother or father , but society and God aswell ,.
Wherever i can , i direct young men to local christian fathers / teachers and role models to learn what it is to be folower of Christ , and learn to respect himself, by learning how Jesus walked in society , always respecting women , and treating them with honor and dignity .And take time to be with the Father of us all .
