As long as we are doing the work of the Lord God will always meet our needs. As long as we are pointing others to God, He will always see that you have plenty.

The power inherent in the Holy Sabbath rest day
was brought to the forefront of my experience
right from the onset last night.

Being invited for a 'chat' with another resident in
the building, I had stated emphatically that the
prime-time conversation would revolve around
the Good Message.

During the visit, within an hour of engaging
Biblical topics, an aquaintance of the resident
dropped by.

The conversation took an immediate strike,
faltering and then spiralling into dark topics.

On one such train of thought (political as I recall),
I intervened by saying "the world has it's own take
on this issue, but what I refer to for accurate
information, and more importantly - Truth, is the
Bible.

I half expected (from experience) no small amount
of balking from the other conversants.

To my great surprise, the newcomer embraced this
point of view and waxed eloquent on it, going as far
as to quote his own favorite edifying parts of the Bible
which happened to be Isaiah 53.

I had no idea of his predilection. Thought he was an atheist.

The spiritual power in this Holy Sabbath Day is humbling.

I believe the Lord brought this man to you to show you that what you were feeling about the Sabbath that he was too. It encouraged you and that is what the Lord wanted for you.

I believe your insight is right on, Camille.
The Lord is taking care of his own.

So in these new covenant times, it's all
about His own on an individual basis.

Oh sure, some of the nations (Chinese,
Korean, Philipino) come into the fold
through their family in large numbers.

Here, though, I find it's very individualistic.

This man from the previous Sabbath discussion
was not at all inclined to introduce or include
the Lord Jesus into that gathering.

The surprise was how the mere mention of the
Bible ignited his lapsed interest.
