| Two types of faith

Jesus said to them: "Have faith in God! I assure you: whoever says to this mountain: 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says is happening, it will happen for him. "

Jesus has often been addressed because they have faith in God was not strong enough. Faith in God results in wonders, he told them. It makes mountains into the sea can fall, but then that faith without doubt. Christians often struggle with their faith. It is easy to believe if all goes well, but in crises doubt even sincere Christians sometimes, they discover that their faith they have in common rock solid, can be moved.
There are two kinds of faith: natural belief and faith in God. Natural faith is obvious: we all know that our hand will burn if we keep it above an open flame and flows always downwards.
Natural faith has to do with facts that we see regularly confirmed. Faith in God, on the other hand, faith in the things not can seen. During a course that Dr Arnold Mol offered in our congregation, he said: "Faith is belief that our behavior." All can you do not have your faith in God with visible evidence, it is conviction that comes from God, faith that changes your life. It is this faith that Jesus is talking about and what you should have.
Lord Jesus, I pray that You give me faith in God, even though there is no visible evidence of my faith. Amen | |
