Do God's Work and all Your Needs will be Met | Fri May 23, 2014 12:22 am by Camille | God always provides for our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
As long as we are doing the work of the Lord God will always meet our needs. As long as we are pointing others to God, He will always see that you have plenty.
Do the work of the Lord share what you know from the bible and share your testimony of how you were healed or set free and God …

| The history of the United States is based upon the search for religious freedom. Although separated by religious doctrine their commonality could be found in this principle. Freedom of worship which was denied them in the "Old World" primarily England. Unfortunately those that sought tolerance often became intolerant of other beliefs. The question is, how did they reconcile in the foundation of the fledging United States after the War of Independance. Was it created on faith in God? I believe it was because the "New World" became a haven of religious liberty.
The question is how could those of varying and sometimes different beliefs were able to unite in the effort to escape the tyranny of their countries of origin. The demands of, for example of the British became so onerous it became necessary to "shake off the shackles" that bound them. For example, the military presence which became nothing more than a method of control over their freedom they found in the New World. It is common knowledge this presence was initially for protection which was funded by England by the taxes exacted from them as colonies of the Crown.
But we must ask was it for protection of the colonists or to garner wealth for the Crown? I believe eventually it was for extension of territory and the riches that could be found in the colonies. Could the colonists participate in the government of the mother country? The answer is absolutely not!
From 1650 on, England instituted a series of laws of trade and navigation known as the Navigation Acts. Their purpose was to limit colonial trade to the British only. In order to accomplish this, all trade between colonists and the British was to be conducted on either English vessels or colonial-built vessels. If colonists intended to trade with any other nations, all goods had first to be shipped to England, giving her an opportunity to handle them and collect revenue from taxation. In addition, there were certain products that could be traded only with Britain, such as tobacco, sugar and cotton. As time went on, the list of enumerated goods grew -- continually decreasing merchandise that the colonists could sell to other nations
In keeping with the general policy of mercantilism, England encouraged the colonists to specialize in the production of raw materials. English factories converted raw goods to products which were then shipped back to the colonies. This provided the British with a profitable market, free from competition. In order to discourage manufacturing, regulations governed certain industries that would have been competitive with the British, such as the woolen-garment industry, hat making, and the iron industry. "Meeting domestic needs was permissible within the regulations; they were intended mainly to prevent exports. (www.landandfreedom.org/ushistory/us3.html)
We need to ask ourselves who benefited the most, the Crown or the colonists?
