Isaiah 3:24-26 King James Version (KJV)
24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.
25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.
26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.
Isaiah 3:24-26 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
24 Now it will come about that instead of sweet perfume there will be putrefaction;
Instead of a belt, a rope;
Instead of well-set hair, a plucked-out scalp;
Instead of fine clothes, a donning of sackcloth;
And branding instead of beauty.
25 Your men will fall by the sword
And your mighty ones in battle.
26 And her gates will lament and mourn,
And deserted she will sit on the ground.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
24 What they were expecting the opposite was going to happen because of the path they had been going down. Often times God works in ways we don’t expect but we need to walk with Him and let Him lead us because it isn’t good for us to walk alone because the path alone leads to judgment.
25 They were going to lose in battle they would lose bad because they would end up being captives. We as Christians are in a battle but Jesus already won the war at the cross.
26 Mourning was going to happen because of what tragic event this would be, they would mourn over the deaths but this was going to be a bigger lose. Without God fighting our battles we lose big.
