| Speaking a Rhema Word

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Ephesians 6:16-17
In Ephesians 6, the armor of God—the shield of faith, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, having your feet shod with the gospel of peace—is all defensive. The only piece of armor that is offensive is the sword of the spirit, the Word of God
When Satan sends a thought your way, put up that shield and cast it down. Then open your mouth and speak the Word-a rhema word, a word God gives you for this situation. Satan may come back with that thought, but if you speak God's Word again, it won't be long before he's limping. Eventually, he will be so wounded that he will leave you alone...for a season.
If you do this faithfully, the area you are struggling in now won't even be an area of temptation for you at some point. It will become the last thing you would ever do. | |
