Do God's Work and all Your Needs will be Met | Fri May 23, 2014 12:22 am by Camille | God always provides for our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
As long as we are doing the work of the Lord God will always meet our needs. As long as we are pointing others to God, He will always see that you have plenty.
Do the work of the Lord share what you know from the bible and share your testimony of how you were healed or set free and God …

“ The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.”
–Romans 1:18-32

This is a very heavy topic, but something that has been on my heart lately: I think that in our society and in the church today we tend to give our undivided attention to some sins and neglect the others. For example, in today’s culture it is very easy for us to focus on the sin of homosexuality. It is very easy to focus on the sin of abortion. But what about the liars? What about the cheaters? What about the thieves and the adulterers?
Now, please hear me when I say that homosexuality and abortion are both horrific sins. Both of these go against God’s laws and are an abomination in His sight. But just as God is disgusted by homosexuality, just as he is disgusted by abortion and murder (both one in the same), he is also disgusted by those who lie, by those who steal, by those who hate, and yes, even by those who disobey their parents (Romans 1:30).
It is hard, though, to remember that all sin is equally disgusting in God’s sight when there are those that are thrown in our face day in and day out. Homosexuality is one of these; abortion is one of these — these are both SUCH big issues today that it is easy to forget that there are other sins being committed out there. While these issues should be addressed in the church today (and in our day to day lives), we also need to remember that there are other issues that need to be addressed as well.
As believers, it is our responsibility to share the Word of God with others and help them to understand His laws and what “sin” is exactly. As believers, it is our responsibility to take a stand against that which is not of Christ, and speak out for that which is of Christ. But we are also called to love our neighbor. We are also called to love our enemies. Does this mean we are to accept the lifestyle of those who are against Christ? Certainly not! Love and acceptance are NOT the same (despite popular belief). We are to show others the love of Christ, while still taking a stand against that which God detests.
Lastly (this is heavy stuff, but we’re almost done!), please remember that even though we are believers, we are no better than anyone else. We are still sinners. We still make bad decisions every single day. The only difference is that we have Christ in our hearts who will guide us to what is right, and only with His help can we show the love and compassion that is needed to make a difference in today’s world.
