Christian Marriage Retreats at Sandy Cove

A retreat for Christian husbands and wives…to relax and have a getaway weekend to focus on your marriage!
We have all been told that husbands and wives need to spend more time together…you know the kind of time where you actually talk to each other about more than who is dropping off Johnny at youth group or would you please pick up a gallon of milk on the way home!
Christian Couples Weekends at Sandy Cove are designed to give you that kind of time. We’ll bring in some speakers that will give you practical advice to work through some things…and then give you time to process together what you just heard. Communicating together as husbands and wives without a lot of distractions is essential for healthy Christian marriages. It ties right in with Sandy Cove’s mission to help you connect with God and each other!
And, you’ll have time to play together, rekindle your romance and fall in love all over again! There are lots of options for play – an invigorating game of tennis, soaking the tension away in the hot tub, challenging each other at ping pong and Frisbee golf, or even working out in the Fitness Center.

Sandy Cove offers two weekends each year just for couples…
The first couples retreat, Tandem…A Weekend for Two, is held in February on the weekend closest to Valentine’s Day. It’s a romantic time of year and easy to remember to devote a weekend away to concentrate on your marriage. Many couples will “gift” this weekend to each other as a Christmas or Valentine’s gift. You can do flowers and chocolates too for your sweetheart!
The second marriage retreat, Weekend on the Bay…A Couples Getaway, is held in the fall – usually late October or early November. It’s a beautiful time of year on the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay! The leaves are falling, the air is brisk but not too cold. Perfect for pulling on a sweater and strolling hand in hand along the water or through the woods.

Sandy Cove Ministries delivers the message of hope that JESUS NEVER FAILS by providing opportunities for rest, refuge, retreat, renewal and recreation.
Since 1946, Sandy Cove Ministries has provided life-changing experiences through camps and conferences. In addition to hosting hundreds of church groups each year, Sandy Cove provides innovative programs for families, adults and children in two locations.



Directions
Sandy Cove is serenely situated halfway between Baltimore and Philadelphia near the town of North East, Maryland, just 10 minutes south of I-95, and 1 hour south of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, via Route 272.
From I-95 (a toll road), take Maryland Exit 100 (northbound) or 100A (southbound), onto Route 272 South, to the town of North East. About three miles past the quaint downtown district, you’ll see Sandy Cove’s large sign on the right.)
Follow our one-mile wooded lane to the top of the bay. Overnight arrivals, stay to the left at the “Y” and proceed around and down to the main hotel entrance and parking.
