"Shifting from Saul to David: The Remnants Are Being Promoted"
Curt Landry, Grove, OKThis is a prophetic word for America and the Church regarding what is happening in the nation and in the Body of Christ today. I personally had never dreamed that things were going to become so misaligned. So, for those of us who live in God's Kingdom, now more than ever, we need to know how to prosper in the midst of turmoil and bad decisions.
Unfortunately, the spirit that is moving within our government and throughout the Church establishment is not entirely of the Lord.
We need to be careful not to get caught up in speaking evil against our elected governmental representatives or our Church leaders, especially because we are in a time of Jubilee – the year of Jubilee, 5776 – a time when we need to be speaking abundant life and blessings.
Today we need to ask ourselves...does our life, based off of our actions and choices, habits and patterns, line up on the David side or the Saul side? And if we are found on the Saul side, we need to repent and ask the Lord to bring us over to the David side.
This is why: Because the remnant of Davids in this hour is being promoted...not the Sauls.
A Commander or a King?David had a heart after God. That is why the Lord promoted him, protected him, and anointed him.
Now, it was that the Spirit of the Lord spoke to the prophet who was known throughout Israel, Samuel, and said that Samuel's words would not fall to the ground void (see 1 Samuel 3:19-20).
Samuel prophetically warned the people of Israel that if they made Saul their king they would have more trouble than they could ever imagine. But the people wanted to be like every other nation. Just as today, they wanted a leader who would fight all of their battles while remaining undisciplined, out of shape, and in their comfort zones, continuing to live without judgment (see 1 Samuel 8:19-20).
If you read carefully, God asked Samuel to anoint Saul to be the commander, not the king...because he was not a king, he was a commander:
"Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him commander over My people Israel, that he may save My people from the hand of the Philistines; for I have looked upon My people, because their cry has come to Me" (1 Samuel 9:16).
Samuel again was the one who anointed David as king of Israel, because God rejected Saul and provided himself a king among Jesse's sons:
"Now the Lord said to Samuel, '...Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons'" (1 Samuel 16:1).
The cause and effect of Saul appointed as a commander and not a king was his reaction to David. He did not want anyone under his military command who was outperforming him. After all, Saul had only slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.
God is removing and taking Saul out from positions of power and authority in the government of the United States and around the world, as well as in the Church establishment, because it is time to prepare Israel for her Messiah.
Therefore, the time period of David's waiting – a time of trouble and much confusion – is coming to an end. It is crucial that as we find ourselves at the end of this waiting period, that we make the right choices and decisions and not lose all the years that the Lord has tested and "de-Saulized" us.
It is Worth the Wait!
The wait is almost over and we are entering a season of promotion. I want to share with you five important lessons that we can learn when we choose to wait upon the Lord:
1. Waiting is a form of adversity, a test of our faith and endurance. Waiting is a time of spiritual warfare, faith, and endurance. Waiting perfects spiritual warfare and takes it to a new level.
2. Satan often attacks by trying to capitalize on divine delays. When delays come, satan tries to push our buttons, we get impatient, we move in the flesh, and we are not blessed because we don't wait on the Lord. Waiting perfects our endurance to stand.
3. Times of waiting on the Lord are designed to be those times when our faith is stretched and our intimacy with Him is enhanced. We need to know God more, so that we know His ways, so that when the increase comes, we will know what to do with it. Waiting brings us into a more intimate relationship with God, our ultimate provider.
4. Waiting is a significant part of each of our lives. We need to learn how to have patience and function spiritually in the midst of delays. Waiting is part of life, and we will not to allow delays to steal our joy in praising Him.
5. God always makes it worth the wait!
It's worth the wait if we stay in faith!
Protecting the Provision...
A David anointing understands spiritual alignment, spiritual protocol, the Feasts of the Lord, and seedtime and harvest – it understands the ways of God. The spirit of David desires to deposit some of that abundance into the Saul house because the house of Saul does not understand how to provide for itself. (Photo via Pixabay)
The heart of David wants to walk in the principals of protecting the provision; the Saul spirit does not care about provision, it only cares about position.
David and his men found themselves in the mountains of Judah, in Keilah, very near where Abraham was buried – where all of the commerce, all of the grain, all the seed and provision, the banks, the brokers, and the tax collectors are located (see 1 Samuel 23:5).
David saw that the Philistines were attacking the provision of Judah in Keilah – they were not only after the food, but also the seed...and if they took the seed, they would remove the people totally. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.
A Saul spirit is incapable of celebrating in another's success – in anything great that they did not cause – because if it is not done under their direction or their covering where they can take credit for it, they want to kill it see 1 Samuel 23:8. This is what is wrong in the Body of Christ today. We have many Sauls who are in very strong places with a lot of money, and if anyone tries to bring in anything different that looks successful, they kill them before they can get up and save us.
Saul is jealous of David's victory and he does not care about protecting the storehouse, and he does not care about the people's money. The Spirit of Saul will keep after the Davids until they leave the provision. If David steps away from the provision, he will stop attacking him.
Today, we see that same spirit not only happening in the Church, but also in our government, with little distinction between the two.

Do Not Touch the Lord's Anointed.
..
Vengeance and revenge are not of the Lord. David knew that his enemy was not Saul – he was really not the problem – the real problem was the people of Israel who elected him (see 1 Samuel 24:3-6).
David knew that God appointed Saul as commander and that he was under his leadership. Saul was the anointed of the Lord. David knew that he could not curse the anointed of the Lord.
The Word says, "Do not touch My anointed ones." When you curse those whom you do not like, you are cursing people who were created by God.
What Anointing Do You Carry?
The spirit that was on Saul made him believe that he was something that he was not. Saul's thoughts of himself went beyond his anointing. He thought that he was a king-priest, but he was just a commander. (Photo via Pixabay)
The problem today in America is that we have many in leadership – in the government and in the Church – who think of themselves far beyond what their anointing is. They are not anointed to be king-priests, they are self-proclaimed apostles and prophets, self-proclaimed pastors, self-proclaimed governmental representatives...and they are all frauds.
In order to escape Saul's hand, David goes into the enemy's camp (see 1 Samuel 27:1). How many people gifted in music have been rejected by the Saul church? How many pastors have we lost to selling cars or insurance? After your gift is rejected over and over, eventually you are going to leave.
How Many People Are We Losing?
The Saul spirit will always kill any form of supernatural communication because they cannot control it (see 1 Samuel 28:3). How many spiritual prophets that used to speak out in the Church have been told by the pastors not to speak, don't pray in tongues, don't interpret that tongue? How much damage over the years have these Saul pastors and their leadership done to the Body of Christ?
In 1 Samuel 28:7-16, the woman who was a medium from En Dor knew that the only one with the anointing that could call up Samuel was either Saul or David.
Today, Saul's rivers are drying up. The grace has run out...it's over. He is now the enemy of God. The Lord is tearing the Saul spirit out of the Church and giving it over to the David spirit (see 1 Samuel 28:17-18).
The Scripture says that a good man shall leave an inheritance to his children's children. Your plan as a leader, whether in business or in the Church, should always be to expand your ministry to your sons and daughters, that they would go beyond you and that you are not threatened by them being bigger, better, or having more success than you.
Saul felt threatened because his anointing did not match his position. The reason that people become jealous is because they do not understand their anointing and the meaning of "the Body of Christ."
A Heart of David...
David strengthened himself in the Lord (see 1 Samuel 30:6) when everything was completely lost for him. (Photo via Pixabay)
There are some who have the heart of David who are tired of being oppressed by the "Apostle Saul" – the Saul spirit. Remember that everyone else will fail you, but God will never fail you. You can shorten that season before your anointing comes into fruition if you will learn to trust in God.
David learned that he could do nothing without the Lord...even at his highest sense of despair and hopelessness (see 1 Samuel 30:
.
God is looking for those who will not quit, not retaliate against their enemies, and will not touch the Lord's anointed, even if they deserve it.
David Recovered ALL...
So, David recovered ALL (see 1 Samuel 30:17-20)! And not only did he recover all, but he also took the spoils of the enemy – David is starting over with a new beginning and a huge transfer of wealth.
The reason David was king was because he did not take revenge. His circumstances had burned out any vindictiveness (see 2 Samuel 1:17-18, 23).
If you are going to be a true king-priest leader like David, you cannot wish evil upon your enemies. So David lamented over the death of Saul and Jonathan.
America is witnessing much upheaval and political posturing during the recent governmental elections because the people in America are looking for a Saul instead of a David. Therefore men and women are behaving in, what might seem, a ridiculous manner because of the ancient Saul spirit that has covered this nation.
We are to be like David in times of trouble. And it is how we respond in the wait that will determine how we finish.
In David there is a vision for a restoration of the temple of the Lord. The message of David is the One New Man – the message that will lead Israel and the Jewish people back to Messiah!
A Prophetic Word: "I Am Releasing the Anointing of David"
"It's time that David would arise. It's time that the remnant of God would arise and shine and let the light come. For the glory of the Lord is upon you. It's time! It's time! It's time!"
"For," the Lord says, "I am raising up the spirit of David. And I am releasing it through My ancient gates like I did in the time of David. And those who have suffered and those who have paid the price I will anoint as My king-priests. And there shall be none like them," says the Lord.
"For I am releasing the anointing of David. And the Lord, God Himself will walk through the aisles and anoint you. God is looking for those who will inquire of Him in every aspect of their lives. Not moved by anger, grief, doubt, unbelief, or fear, but will always come to Me and say, 'Lord, what shall I do?'
"For I have called David to arise and shine. He shall rise up and unify the Church in the end-time hour, for he has the double-portion anointing of king and priest, which is a rare anointing. And he will succeed in the Church and in the marketplace. He will lead as a shepherd who shepherds his flock. He shall not cut off nor attack Saul when he is in a cave or in a sheepfold. For he knows and has learned the lesson – touch not the Lord's anointed – and he shall not touch them. For gentleness and kindness and meekness, and the blessings of the beatitudes are his," says the Lord. "For he shall contain and enjoy the Kingdom of God.
"Today I proclaim, and decree, and declare that the new angels in the army of the Lord of Hosts will remove the Philistines off of the ancient threshing floors. In Yeshua's name."
A Prayer of Repentance
Father God, in the name of Yeshua, I repent of all impatience and I cut off the effects of words that I have spoken in my impatience, where I have come into agreement with my anger and my frustration. I ask that You remove it far from me. I decree that my iniquities are forgiven and my sins are washed as white as snow.
Father God, we corporately cancel satan's attacks that try to capitalize on divine delays. Father God, I choose to release the delays and decree that that I will not be denied. It shall come to pass.
Father God, times of waiting are designed to be those times of great faith. Stretch my faith like a tent over my life, and in this tent we shall find intimacy in the knowledge of You – and that will be the sweetest thing.
Lord, I am a mature Believer and I understand that waiting is a significant part of daily life. I repent for being impatient.
Lord, we decree that God always makes it worth waiting. The best is yet to come. God will redeem a double-portion of all that has been stolen in my life. In Yeshua's name, Amen.
