I was flying to Chicago yesterday for an annual conference. God had shown me by signs I had days in advance, that something special was going to happen on this flight.

At times like that, I never know if it’s going to be something really big, or something really small that feels REALLY BIG! Well this was something “small” that was in fact a big deal to me.

Because I live in the VIRTUAL world of the internet a lot, my actual opportunities to meet people first-hand are really quite rare unless I'm at one of our few conferences each year.

So I had gone to the back of the plane to visit the restroom when the flight attendant stopped me and put out her hand and asked, “Excuse me, are you Steve Shultz, with the Elijah List?"

“Well, yes I sure am!” I replied.

“I just LOVE the Elijah List! I’ve been on it for four years now. I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate what you do to encourage people and build them up." Melanie proceeded to tell me more and more of how much she loves the Elijah List. As she talked to me, I felt more and more built up. I could even tell it was fulfilling a need she had to be able to express her thanks and it most certainly fulfilled a need I had to “know and understand” that what The Elijah List is to people is making such a big difference.

The CONFERENCE that I was flying to is one of only about 8 conferences a year and it truly builds people up. It the non-profit ministry of ELIJAH LIST MINISTRIES that makes those conferences possible. For the non-profit “wing,” we run prophetic.tv, ElijahStreams 24/7 streaming Worship, and we do these conferences each year.

I wish you could have seen the smile on Melanie’s face. I didn’t get her last name and she told me she isn’t on Facebook, so perhaps I will never see her again. But I just praise GOD that she was there. She made it “all worth it” for me!
