"2015: A Year of Angels on Assignment"

An Angelic Encounter

Recently, during a corporate time of praise and worship, while lifting my arms before the Lord, I felt an angel on each side of me raise each of my arms to a new level. At the time, it reminded me of the Biblical story of the victories Israel experienced when Moses' arms were supported by Aaron and Hur (see Exodus 17:11-12). Along with this sensation in the natural realm, there also came a feeling of strengthening that went through my composite being – spirit, soul, and body.

This was an atypical personal experience for me, that I had only previously encountered a handful of times, when angels transcended a spiritual realm and caused instantaneous, observable, supernatural changes in a natural circumstance. My background degrees in Chemistry and Psychology had made me somewhat biased toward provable cause and effect results.
These previous interventions had been at crucial times when life-threatening situations or other major times of need existed. These were incidents where angels caused supernatural light to appear or caused other natural laws of physics to be superseded. However, this arm-elevating personal experience was still just a subjective one that happened during this evening worship time... until the next morning.

A Confirmation of Angels on Assignment

The next morning brought an awakening telephone call from someone whom I had never met that resulted in an observable, tangible effect. This effect was an unexpected, spontaneous property sale before 10:00 A.M. The man calling asked to meet me at a "For Sale" sign I had placed on a property that I had just put up for sale. With this sale, which the Lord spoke was linked to the angelic encounter I experienced the night before, the Lord had now captured my attention.



He then began speaking to me about the year of 2015 and how He will send "Angels on Assignment" to fight for us in our battles to bring new victories. They will assist us by strengthening us for battles we would not have won had they not shown up. Many things that seem to have been locked up previously will be unlocked by angelic activity this year. These victories will include the battles that involve all portions (spirit, soul, and body) of our triune being.

The Lord began to show me that spiritual, emotional, and physical victories were now available in this 2015 year that had not yet manifested in 2014 or previous years. He spoke that these victories could include financial and health breakthroughs, along with ministry, family, and personal destiny fulfillment. He began to reveal that this Hebraic Year of 5775 would be one where He had purposed double grace (5's) to bring double completion (7's). He also spoke that the previous year (5774) of promises would transition into an angelic-assisted year (5775) of completion with double portion victories. So if you have felt as though you did not experience some of the victories you were looking for in 2014, there is help on the way in 2015.

Angels Are On Time

There are many Biblical examples of angelic intervention throughout Scripture. In each case, angels were involved at the right time and the right place to bring the direction, revelation, physical healing, and victories that were needed.
From the time of the cherubim preventing Adam from eternal destruction by keeping him from the "Tree of Life" with a flaming sword in the garden of Eden, in times past until the time of the seventh angel sounding in the Book of Revelation, angels have and will be involved with God's plan for man on planet Earth.
There are great examples in the Bible of angels that were visible and appeared to many of God's people, and also to God's enemies. An angel appeared to Mary to tell of Jesus' birth, the greatest event for the eternal plan for mankind. An angel, although delayed with battles in the second heavenly realm, appeared to Daniel to tell him of the answer to his prayers and to tell him of future events on Earth. Jesus healed the paralytic man who was waiting for an angel to "trouble" or stir the waters at the "Pool of Bethesda." Each year before, the paralytic man was unable to be the first one to enter the water that an angel had stirred for healing. Only the first one into the pool each year would be healed (see John 5:2-9).

Many angels, horses, and chariots of fire, appeared to Elisha's servant to reveal the strength of the Lord's armies that fight for God's people. God also used one angel to kill 185,000 Assyrian enemies of Israel in one night. Just think, if one angel is capable of this feat, what the entire host of Heaven can do on behalf of God's people today. There was also a multitude of the heavenly host of angels that appeared praising God and declaring the glory of Jesus' birth to the shepherds in the fields (see Luke 2:13-15).

These are just a few of the many great examples throughout Scripture that tell of angelic visitation, battles, and intervention. There are many types of angels depicted in the Bible. Messenger angels like Gabriel, warring angels like Michael, cherubim and seraphim, along with angels of worship and revelation, are just some of these. God will have the right angel at the right time and place to accomplish His goals.
However, most of the time, angels are unseen but active in the affairs of God and man. The Bible states that there are multitudes of angels active on a daily basis. Many are involved with us personally in our daily lives. I have personal stories where angels were unseen but still very active in the protection and preservation of my family's lives.

I believe that there are also many Biblical stories where unseen angels were involved in the lives of God's people. The story of Joshua and the battle of Jericho is one of those (see Joshua 6:13-20). After six days of marching silently around the city of Jericho, on the seventh day and after seven trips around, the people let out a shout and sounded the trumpets and the city wall fell down flat. I believe that angels were the reason that this wall fell. This would mean that God had given the angels this assignment to push the wall down well before that day and they were on time and in position to do it.
This means that, for us personally, angels are assigned to carry out God's plans. When God says, "'For I know the plans that I have for you," declares the Lord, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope...'" (Jeremiah 29:11-12), then there are angels assigned to fight for us in our God-given destiny. The great news for us is that angels will be at the right place and on time to enable victories we would never win by ourselves. This year of 2015 will be one of increased angelic activity, both seen and unseen.

Angels Can Strengthen

There are also Biblical examples of angels involved in the life of Jesus when He fulfilled His great assignment from the Lord. When He became a man, He also became able to be strengthened by an angel (see Luke 22:43). This fact always seems amazing to me because Jesus was involved in the creation of every angel; as the Bible states, "All things were created by Him" (Colossians 1:16). Yet when Jesus came to Earth, He laid down His right to His place of deity and became as a man empowered by the Holy Spirit. He did this so that He could be our role model and example of how to be victorious over satan and fulfill our God-given destiny. We can now say, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13), and expect God to assign angels to us just like He did for Jesus.
These "Angels on Assignment" will be on time to strengthen us when needed, war for us in battles, and enable us to be like Jesus or even the apostle Paul who completed their God-given destinies successfully. This is a time when God is looking for many to be successful destiny fulfillers and usher in the second coming of Jesus. If it seems as though your battles have intensified, they probably have.

We are at a prophetic time on the Earth for the Church today to demonstrate the victory of the Lord and to fulfill both our individual and corporate destinies. The enemy is trying to delay this inevitable outcome as long as possible, because he knows that God's plan for satan's ultimate, eternal destruction in the lake of fire will follow shortly after Jesus' return and Millennial reign on Earth. The good news is that there is a "heavenly host" of righteous angels on our side to assist us in causing this outcome to be on time.

Activating Angels

The Bible tells of some actions we can take to activate angels to be on assignment for us. Psalm 103:20 states, "Bless the Lord, you His angels, mighty in strength, who perform His Word, obeying the voice of His Word!" Some translations state that angels hearken or pay attention and then obey the voice of the Lord. Therefore, if we want angels to be on assignment for us, we must be speaking what God says.

Jesus is always our greatest example, and even when He was tempted by satan, He relied upon the written Word of the Lord to be His weapon of warfare against the enemy. Three times when satan came to tempt Him in the wilderness (see Luke 4:1-13), He declared, "It is written..." and then stated a written Scripture from the Old Testament. One of those times satan even tried to use angels to be Jesus' refuge as satan knew that Jesus could call upon them based upon God's Word and who Jesus was. Jesus, however, recognized this to be just a trick to put God to a false test. When Jesus declared the true Word of the Lord, this would stop the enemy's current temptation and finally cause satan to completely retreat from this entire confrontation.


Our eyes are not always opened to see the fullness of the battles that happen in the heavenly realm between satan and his army and God and His angelic army. However, as we speak the Word of the Lord, it activates angels to fight for us. God as Lord Sabaoth is the God of the armies, both earthly and heavenly. He uses angels in His battle plans against satan and the demonic realm to bring victories for us on the Earth. As we say what He says, angels will be activated and assigned to see His Word come true. Therefore, if we find ourselves in specific battles we need to find specific Scriptures and also prophetic Words that are the answer to what we need.

Many times, for me personally, decreeing a personal prophetic Word brings the manifestation of something that has been unseen into a visible and tangible realm. This is why Paul instructed Timothy to fight a good fight with the prophecies given to him. This helped Timothy fulfill the destiny that God had purposed for him. God-inspired prophecies will be like written Scriptures we can declare against the enemy's plan of attack. Angels will hearken unto these declarations because they also will be the Word of the Lord.

Angels Are as Winds

Finally, one of the exciting facts about angels is that they are assigned to help us in our ministry and help bring people to salvation. If we are "born again" and Jesus is our Lord, we each have a ministry to fulfill. This does not mean that we have to have a pulpit or be a five-fold preacher to have angels assist us, but we must be those that decree the Word of the Lord. In Mark 16:15, Jesus charges all Believers to go into the world and preach the Gospel. This can be one-on-one with the people whom we are in contact or with large assemblies. We are called to be the "Light of the World" and represent Jesus. Angels help us on that assignment.



Hebrews 1:7 states, "And of the angels He says, 'Who makes His angels winds and His ministers a flame of fire.'" Winds cause flames of fire to spread and be strengthened in the natural realm in very amazing ways. A gentle breeze blowing into a fire can be exponentially increased to cause 100 mile per hour winds to happen. There is even one visible recording of a fire tornado that happened because of winds being heightened in strength in the midst of the flames.

Even though the natural, wind-empowered fires are usually negative and destructive to all that they encounter, there is also a positive spiritual analogy that can be made. The analogy is that with angels empowering us as God's ministers, we can be supernaturally and exponentially strengthened to bring destruction to the satanic realm. This will be evident with a harvest of souls, signs and wonders, manifested healings, breakthroughs in business and finances, generational blessings, along with God-given destiny fulfillment.


The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are to be worshipped whereas angels are not to be. However, angels do have a significant role to play in our destiny. Speaking of Jesus, Hebrews 1:13-14 states, "But to which of the angels has He ever said, 'Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet?'" And of the angels God says, 'Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?'"

It is great news to know that in this year of 2015 angels will be "on assignment" to fight for us and to secure victories we have not yet obtained. They also will co-labor with us to cause us to be "Flames of Fire" empowered with exponential strength against the forces of darkness! So, may you be empowered by encouragement and strengthened in faith for battles in this year of 2015. Know that "Angels are on Assignment" with you and for you to possess new victories and unlock new destinies that Lord Sabaoth, the God of the Angel Armies, has for you this year!
