Philemon 1:21-22King James Version (KJV)

21 Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.

22 But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

21 Paul trusted that he would do what was right. The bible never says having a servant is wrong but does mention how we treat others with love, this includes servants. Often times we need to go beyond what is expected because we live by God’s standards and not peoples expectations because God often blows peoples expectations.

22 Paul hoped that he be able to come visit with him, Paul may have been at the point that he lead so many to the lead that it was a time to take a visit those who shared the faith. We need to take time to visit those who share our faith for many of us this is church service but for missionaries like Paul they do not get to go to these all the time due to there not being a church in the area they are at. It is also important for all believers to even preachers to take time to hear others teach God’s word.
