As long as we are doing the work of the Lord God will always meet our needs. As long as we are pointing others to God, He will always see that you have plenty.

Philemon 1:4-7

King James Version (KJV)

4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,

5 Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

4 I always thank my God when I ·mention [remember] you in my prayers, 5 because I hear about the love you have for all ·God’s holy people [T the saints] and the faith you have in the Lord Jesus. 6 I pray that the ·faith you share [the sharing/fellowship of your faith] may ·make you [enable/empower you to] understand every blessing we have in Christ. 7 I have great joy and comfort, my brother, because the love you have shown to ·God’s people [T the saints] has refreshed ·them [their hearts; L their inward parts; C the seat of emotions].

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

4 We should thank God for many things and fellow believers coming to faith and those walking close to God may not be something we often thank God about but it should be. Most of the time we are more to question peoples walk than to thank God for their walk.

5 To be heard of, by Paul would been great but they were not doing this to be heard by Paul. Paul did not hear of all things but the One they did things for Jesus saw all the things they did and would and will reward them for their good doings. Love and faith go hand and hand we can not love without having a faith in the One who showed the greatest act of love, the cross, we also can not have faith and not show the love we have received. We should show love most of all to our brothers and sisters in the faith, the saints because we are in this fight against sin and the world along with them and our Lord leads the entire way.

6 We should not be afraid to share our faith even when it costs us our lives, Christ gave up His life for us we should be willing to give up our lives for Him. We all have a story of how we came to faith in Christ and we should be willing to share it. The world can only come to faith by us sharing our faith with them.

7 We should be a delight and encouragement to others as they walk with Jesus by faith. We should bring them joy and happiness. This is as long as they are following His ways with their life; we should not support them choosing their ways over His.
