God always provides for our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
As long as we are doing the work of the Lord God will always meet our needs. As long as we are pointing others to God, He will always see that you have plenty.
Do the work of the Lord share what you know from the bible and share your testimony of how you were healed or set free and God …
Subject: Songs Of Praise and Worship Sat Jun 08, 2013 4:36 am
When I first came across 'praise and worship' songs in the early 1990s, I was a bit hesitant, not knowing whether I would like this type of music or not. But I was amazed! Some songs of praise are just awe-inspiring. There are a few artists that I like, however there are two songs, specifically, that I feel a connection to in an extraordinary way for whatever reason. They are: "King of Glory" by Third Day and "Finally Home" by Mercy Me. Interestingly, the song "King of Glory" is adapted from Psalm 24:7-10. And the lyrics in the song "Finally Home" are heartwarming.
There is also another praise and worship band who took the verse of Psalm 121:1-2 and incorporated this verse into their lyrics in the chorus. The song is called "Praise You In This Storm" by Casting Crowns. I like these songs that are adapted from the Bible because of the references to the Psalms. My favourite writings in the Bible are from the book of Psalms, and these musical connections to the songs make them more meaningful.
As I continue in my walk with God, I find that seeking out other types of music and artists (especially in praise and worship) helps me become more open and accepting of new ideas and sounds. Music is a way that can touch our spirits in a way that nothing else can.
As it says in Psalm 33:1-3:
"Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him. Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy."
