Do God's Work and all Your Needs will be Met | Fri May 23, 2014 12:22 am by Camille | God always provides for our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
As long as we are doing the work of the Lord God will always meet our needs. As long as we are pointing others to God, He will always see that you have plenty.
Do the work of the Lord share what you know from the bible and share your testimony of how you were healed or set free and God …

| 1 Chronicles 14:1-2
King James Version (KJV)
14 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him an house. 2 And David perceived that the Lord had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.
8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them. 9 And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim. 10 And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand. 11 So they came up to Baalperazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baalperazim. 12 And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire. 13 And the Philistines yet again spread themselves abroad in the valley. 14 Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees. 15 And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines. 16 David therefore did as God commanded him: and they smote the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer. 17 And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the Lord brought the fear of him upon all nations.

Amplified Bible (AMP)
14 And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar timbers, with masons and carpenters, to build him a house. 2 And David perceived that the Lord had established and confirmed him as king over Israel, for his kingdom was exalted highly for His people Israel’s sake.
8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, [they] all went up to seek David. And [he] heard of it and went out before them. 9 Now the Philistines had come and made a raid in the Valley of Rephaim. 10 David asked God, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And will You deliver them into my hand? And the Lord said, Go up, and I will deliver them into your hand. 11 So [Israel] came up to Baal-perazim, and David smote [the Philistines] there. Then David said, God has broken my enemies by my hand, like the bursting forth of waters. Therefore they called the name of that place Baal-perazim [Lord of breaking through]. 12 [The Philistines] left their gods there; David commanded and they were burned. 13 And the Philistines again made a raid in the valley. 14 And David inquired again of God, and God said to him, Do not go up after them; turn away from them and come [around] upon them over opposite the mulberry trees. 15 And when you hear a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry or balsam trees, then go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to smite the Philistine host. 16 So David did as God commanded him, and they smote the army of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gezer. 17 And the fame of David went out into all lands, and the Lord brought the fear of him upon all nations.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
1 This shows that David had become a king enough to get other attention. This shows that others kingdoms had respect for David they never did this for Saul.
2 David did not get over confident this was Saul’s big downfall, he became self centered. This was not an easy road traveled as it was for Saul, sometimes the harder the road the more credit we will give to God who will get us thru it. David was the king God wanted for Israel and thru David comes Christ. David line will and kingdom will never end because it will remain forever in Christ, Saul’s kingdom ended after his death.
8 Philistines were still at war with Israel. Saul died in a losing battle against the Philistines. They may want to kill David before they could not defeat the nation of Israel. Israel remains today but there are no Philistines. David would fight many wars as king.
9 Valleys were often used as battle fields because each nation would be posted on the mountain and they would fight in the valley.
10 David went to God this was one of Saul’s faults; he did go to God after he messed things up by refusing God’s advice earlier. David knew he needed the Lord on his side and to guide him into battle. We should listen to God’s Word.
11 This was a Philistine city. David gave credit to the Lord who won the battle for them. We should God credit for leading us to our victories.
12 This goes back to the command God gave to Joshua to destroy all idols, there was never an exception on this. Their many who allowed the idols to remain including Saul.
13 Philistine returned the attack on Israel. In the times of trouble David went to the Lord but also gave Him praise in the good times and the bad. We should live by his example here. David did not go to war without asking God first.
14 God gave him a strategy. When God gives us the exact things to do we are to do them. If David would have would have not did this he would have possible lost the battle. When we do not follow God’s orders we may fail.
15 God lead them to battle and David knew without God they did not stand before the Philistines. We truly do not stand without Him picking us up out of our sins and leading us to fight our flesh.
16 this was a big defeat for the Philistines. David had some big victories at the Lord’s hand so many that his son Solomon would not ever have to fight in a war.
17 David grew a respect for all the surrounding nations. David had the Lord on his side and no one can truly defeat a man who follows the Lord.

| Hi Clark,
Without God we cannot do anything. David knew he needed to obey God and He would lead him in the right way. Every battle God was with David because of his obedience to do as God told him to do. He never went up against any peoples without consulting the Lord and then the Lord gave David plan of attack. He never rebelled against God by doing this his own way when it came to battles. He wanted to win and David knew God has his back not matter the situation as long as he obeyed God is all ways. His fame grew all over for his battles were many and those who opposed God lost their lives. The fear of God was in the country and David was sought after by the Philistines to harm him. No one could touch David. He and his men praised and worshiped the Lord who always gave them the victory.
We must do the same thing as David we must always pray and find out how God wants things to go not just go head strong into battle when we do not have God's orders on what to do.
I am always so encouraged by the love for God David as a shepherd boy had all his life. The way David praised and worshiped the Lord no matter when he won a battle he would strip off his clothes and praise the Lord in front of his people and show the Lord how much he loved him.
amen
1 Chronicles 14 The Message (MSG) David Builds
14 1-7 King Hiram of Tyre sent an envoy to David, along with cedar lumber, masons, and carpenters to build him a royal palace. Then David knew for sure that God had confirmed him as king over Israel, because of the rising reputation that God was giving his kingdom for the benefit of his people Israel. David married more wives and had more children in Jerusalem. His children born in Jerusalem were Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon, Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet, Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
8-9 The minute the Philistines heard that David had been made king over a united Israel, they went out in force to capture David. When David got the report, he marched out to confront them. On their way, the Philistines stopped off to plunder the Valley of Rephaim.
10 David prayed to God: “Is this the right time to attack the Philistines? Will you give me the victory?”
God answered, “Attack; I’ll give you the victory.”
11-12 David attacked at Baal Perazim and slaughtered them. David said, “God exploded my enemies, as water explodes from a burst pipe.” That’s how the place got its name, Baal Perazim (Baal-Explosion). The Philistines left their gods behind and David ordered that they be burned up.
13-15 And then the Philistines were back at it again, plundering in the valley. David again prayed to God. God answered, “This time don’t attack head-on; circle around and come at them out of the balsam grove. When you hear a sound like shuffling feet in the tops of the balsams, attack; God will be two steps ahead of you, slaughtering the Philistines.”
16 David did exactly as God commanded, slaughtering Philistines all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.
17 David was soon famous all over the place, far and near; and God put the fear of God into the godless nations. | |
