Receiving Direction: Seek Him Until You Find Him

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever
1 Chronicles 28:9
Often we read about how God responded to David and Moses when they were in the middle of a situation. However, when Scripture says that God intervened, it doesn't necessarily mean that He moved immediately.
God expects you to seek Him. Go to the Word of God and study it. Then, stay in your prayer closet long enough for your own thoughts to recede and the mind of the Spirit takes precedence. Pray in the Holy Ghost. After you do these things, you will start to focus.
Seek Him until you find Him. Stay with Him until you receive His answer. When you get His direction, you can have supreme confidence that God will cause what He said to come to pass.
