Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; praying us with much entreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints-

Some people say, "Hey, I'm the poor. Get someone else to give." Not the Macedonian churches!

They insisted that their money go for the relief of poor Christians that Paul finally said, "All right!" The Macedonian churches inspired him so much that he wrote to the Corinthian church, saying, "I want you to have the same attitude as the Macedonian churches. They were pleading for the privilege to give to the saints."

When you don't seem to have enough, give, don't horde. Put what you have into the hands of the multiplier. Don't hold onto your meager resources and try to figure out how you're going to make it on your own.

Learn to give your way out of trouble, not worry your way out of trouble!
